MGO — short for methylglyoxal — is the naturally occurring compound used to indicate a Manuka honey's measured grade. A higher number means a higher tested concentration, and honey reaching the top grades is far rarer, which is reflected in the price. Every Goldland Co batch is AMHA-tested and certified.
